Garlic Calamari with Sweet Soy

Ingredients:

2/m lb of calamari, cleaned and cut into 2 cm wide rings

3 tbsp ABC® Sweet Soy Sauce

1 large onion, finely chopped

2 garlic cloves, finely chopped

2 red and/or green chili peppers, de-seeded and thinly sliced

½ cup of vegetable stock

5 romaine lettuce leave, whole

4 tbsp cooking oil

Directions:

  1. Under high heat, sauté garlic and onion in oil for 2 minutes or until brown.
  2. Stir in red and green chili.
  3. Add calamari rings and fry for 2 more minutes or until nearly tender.
  4. Add vegetable stock and ABC® Sweet Soy Sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Garnish atop a bed of romaine lettuce leaves.
